What does the Color of Ginkgo Biloba/Maidenhair Tree (イチョウ, Ichou) Mean?
As you know, there are four seasons in Japan.
The green leaves tell us the season is spring or summer, the yellow leaves are autumn/fall, and there are no leaves in winter. Since the leaves have started to fall in the image, we can assume that the scene took place in the second half of November. We also associate the bad smell of ginkgo nuts with this season.
